Stanly Community College hosts commencement ceremonies at the end of the spring semester and all fall, spring and summer graduates for the academic year are invited to participate.

Make sure you take these steps to graduate...
Verify Eligibility
- Register for your final semester classes by contacting your Success Coach.
- Review your Program Evaluation in Self-Service.
Submit an Application
- Complete the Application for Graduation under the Graduation Overview tab in Self-Service, regardless of ceremony participation, between the following dates:
- Fall: August 1 - November 15
- Spring: December 15 - April 15
- Summer: December 15 - July 1
- Be aware that not meeting program requirements by the application semester's end will require you to reapply.
- Once you submit your graduation application, expect a confirmation email to your student email. If you don't receive your confirmation email, contact Shannon Morales at smorales2972@stanly.edu.
- Summer graduates can join commencement, even if your degree is finished in July. Apply by April 15th to ensure inclusion in the commencement program; late applications will be listed as summer graduates.
Order Your Regalia
- If you are participating in the graduation ceremony, order your cap, gown, and regalia from the SCC Bookstore. These costs are not covered by your Student Success fees and payment for graduation attire is your responsibility.
Update Information
- Use the Information Change/Update form to share with us any changes to contact information, phone number, permanent address, etc).
