Stanly Community College (SCC) recently held its Annual Art Show in the Learning Resources Center (LRC), located on the Albemarle campus.
The exhibit featured original works of art from Stanly Community College students, faculty, and staff. Artwork ranged from traditional to digital mediums, photography and more.
SCC hosted an opening reception where the following winners were announced:
- First Place: “The Sea Garden” by Tracy Adams;
- Second Place: “Remains of the Day” by John Lanier;
- Third Place: “The Caves of Valyria” by Jordan Holt.
President’s Choice awards were given to:
- “Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker” by Casey Stirewalt
- “The Heart of Juneau” by Tracy Adams
Honorable Mention awards were given to:
- “Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker” by Casey Stirewalt
- “Blooming” by Michaela Palmer
- “Clown Baby” by Lexi Watts
