Stanly Community College (SCC) is excited to announce that Cassidy Ball has been promoted to Director of Small Business & Entrepreneurial Development. In this role, she will lead efforts to help local business owners, entrepreneurs, and community partners by offering programs, educational resources, and business support services.

Ball has valuable experience in this field. She previously worked as the Administrative and Programming Assistant for SCC’s Small Business Center, where she managed workshops each year, expanded online outreach, and built strong connections with local business leaders. She also teaches business courses at SCC, covering marketing, ethics, and finance.

She holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and has experience in business strategy, legal administration, nonprofit programs, and financial planning. Her background makes her well-equipped to guide small business owners through the challenges of running a business.

As Director, Ball will continue SCC’s work supporting small businesses and economic growth in Stanly County. She will provide helpful resources, workshops, and one-on-one counseling to entrepreneurs while also strengthening SCC’s partnerships with local industries.

“I’m excited to lead the Small Business Center and support local entrepreneurs on their journey. Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy, and I look forward to providing the guidance and resources they need to thrive," said Ball.

The Small Business Center is located at 143 N. Second Street in Albemarle.  For more information about its offerings, call 704-991-0355 or visit https://www.stanly.edu/about/small-business-center/index.html
