Stanly Community College (SCC) will host a Medical Careers Open House on Tuesday, March 26, for individuals interested in pursuing a degree in the College’s healthcare-related programs of study. The event will be from 6 to 8 pm at SCC’s Crutchfield Education Center, located at 102 Stanly Parkway in Locust.

Those in attendance are asked to arrive at 6 pm for a general information session outlining SCC’s admissions process, placement testing and financial aid/scholarship information. From there, prospective students and their guests will be led on tours of the College’s state-of-the-art program labs led by program faculty and current students.

“Individuals may know they would like a career in health care but are unsure how to get there,” said Christie Huneycutt, Associate Vice President for SCC’s School of Health Sciences & Public Services. “We encourage anyone considering a medical career to take this opportunity to see all of the programs we offer here at Stanly Community College and the educational pathways to a successful future.  Whether you are still in high school or an adult looking for a career change, this event is the ideal setting to learn more.”
