In partnership with Stanly County Schools, Access to Achievement at Stanly Community College will host a Transition Fair on Tuesday, April 29, from 5 to 7 PM at the Webb Student Center on SCC’s Albemarle Campus, located at 141 College Drive.

This event is designed to connect individuals with disabilities, including those who identify as having intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and their families with essential resources and support for every stage of life. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet local resource providers, explore transition and support services, and connect with organizations dedicated to empowering individuals.

Many in North Carolina believe that college or career pathways are beyond their reach—Access to Achievement aims to change that. The North Carolina Community College System has selected SCC to participate in a statewide initiative expanding inclusive post-secondary education. Through Access to Achievement, individuals with IDD can gain workforce skills, achieve greater independence, and become active members of their communities.

By fostering inclusive learning environments, Access to Achievement opens doors to meaningful workforce opportunities, helping students build lifelong success.
