Six members of the Stanly Community College (SCC) Future Business Leaders of America Collegiate (FBLA-C) chapter earned national recognition at the organization’s National Leadership Conference, held recently in Dallas, Texas.

SCC was also honored as one of only 25 colleges nationwide to receive the prestigious “Gold Seal” chapter designation for the year.

Representing SCC in national competitive events were:

  • Rylie Hill and Eowyn Allen, Business Ethics team competition
  • Abdou Niang, Cybersecurity and Foundations of Computer Science
  • Samantha House, Marketing and Sales Case Study
  • Dony Santos Lambur, Future Business Executive
  • Timothy Karabet, Project Management, Sixth Place nationally

In addition, Niang and Karabet, presented at the State of the Chapter event, earning SCC an eighth-place national finish.

Beyond competitions, the students participated in leadership sessions and explored Dallas, including a tour of the John F. Kennedy Assassination Museum.

The SCC FBLA-C chapter (formerly Phi Beta Lambda) was chartered in 1974. The Dallas conference marked the 49th consecutive year SCC students have qualified for national competition, continuing a long tradition of excellence in leadership and career development.
