Nurse Aide Level I

This course consists of in-class lecture, lab and test preparation, as well as clinical experience in a long-term care facility. In this course, the student learns basic nursing skills, including how to provide personal care services such as checking vital signs, bed-making, bathing, dressing and feeding. Upon satisfactory completion of this course, the graduate will receive a Certificate of Completion and may then apply to take the NNAAP State exam through NACES. This exam is an additional cost to the students. Visit for more information on the exam. Once the student has successfully completed the State Exam, they will be listed on the NCNA I Registry. At the time of registration, students must pay in full the required registration fee.


Other costs associated with this course are scrub uniforms, ID tag and textbook. Students must provide a US high school diploma or GED, driver’s license, and social security card. Those without a diploma or GED must contact the college to schedule an appointment for a reading assessment. Criminal Background and immunization clearances are required by the clinical site. Criminal background checks will be purchased from the college-approved vendor and charged to the student.
