Stanly Community College’s Carolina Auction Academy (CAA) proudly announces the successful graduation of 22 students from its intensive program. These individuals, committed to mastering the art of auctioneering, demonstrated their skills in a charity auction on Monday, November 6th, at Hinson's Auction House in Oakboro, NC.

Throughout their training, these students exemplified unwavering dedication, with some traveling two hours each night to attend classes. The evening of the student auction was a testament to their hard work, raising over $4,500.00 for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Their generosity shone as they auctioned off donated items, contributing to a cause close to their hearts.

"This class has been a diverse and dynamic group, ranging from recent high school graduates to individuals in their sixties," remarked Bill O'Neal, CAA Instructor. "Their commitment, camaraderie and laughter have enriched our learning environment."

Awards were presented to commend outstanding achievements within the class. Page Speagle from Liberty, NC, earned the esteemed title of Best All-Around, while the Most Improved honor was bestowed upon Richard Hudson of Winston Salem, NC. Notably, these awards were conferred through a secret ballot vote by the students themselves, highlighting the respect and admiration within the group.

Established in August 2005, Carolina Auction Academy remains committed to nurturing aspiring auctioneers. The next class is scheduled to begin in February.
