Albemarle, NC – Stanly Community College (SCC) is pleased to announce the first-ever Picnic in the Park event for alumni on Thursday, June 15 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Held at the Morrow Mountain State Park Community Building, the picnic gives alumni the chance to connect and discover opportunities to become involved with their alma mater.
Now in its 51st year, SCC continues to provide higher education and career training to the residents of Stanly County and beyond. At next week’s graduation ceremonies, the college will confer nearly 750 degrees, diplomas and certificates.
“Our students are at the center of all we do at Stanly Community College. As alumni, they become part of our family for a lifetime and we hope they will remain involved with the college long after they have graduated,” said Jeania Martin, SCC Foundation Executive Director.
