Stanly Community College’s (SCC) Cisco Networking Academy Support Center and Instructor Training Center (ASC/ITC) has received national and international acclaim with two prestigious awards from Cisco Systems, Inc., underscoring the College’s leadership in networking education and workforce development.
During the 2025 Cisco Academy Partner Meeting, SCC was honored with the Premier+ Partner Award, placing the College in the top five percent of Cisco Academy Support and Instructor Training Centers (ASC/ITCs) worldwide. Only two ASC/ITCs in North America earned this elite designation for 2025.
In addition, SCC received the 2025 Golden Bridge Award for North America, recognizing the ASC/ITC’s outstanding growth and innovation. This honor highlights the team’s work in building a successful grant-funded initiative with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), as well as a 35% growth in service over the past year. This marks the second time SCC has earned the Golden Bridge Award—a testament to its sustained impact and excellence.
“These awards speak to the extraordinary efforts of our faculty and staff to expand opportunities, empower instructors, and elevate student success through the Cisco Networking Academy,” said Kelly Caudle, Program Head for SCC’s ASC/ITC Cisco Academy, VMWare Academy & IT Academy.
As a Cisco-designated Academy Support and Instructor Training Center, SCC offers flexible, high-quality formats—online, blended, and distance learning—with interactive Zoom sessions and hands-on labs via Netlabs. Instructors gain both practical and theoretical skills while fast-track options prepare them for in-demand certifications like Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
