Albemarle, NC – Stanly Community College’s Carolina Auction Academy (CAA) recently honored eight individuals for successfully completing coursework needed to obtain a North Carolina or South Carolina auctioneer license.

During the ceremony held at the College’s Crutchfield Education Center in Locust, instructors Bill and Betty O’Neal were present to confer the certificates to the students.

Graduates of the Spring 2022 CAA program include (front row, left to right) Betty O’Neal, Instructor, Daniel Sauder, Teresa Massey, Tracie Gardner and Bill O’Neal, Instructor; (back row, left to right) Tommy Rush, Lanny Page, Leland Page, Collin Hinson and Eric Maimberg.

Each class votes for two awards – Most Improved and Best All Around. This year’s recipients were Daniel Sauder (Most Improved) and Lanny Page (Best All Around).

CAA is approved by the North Carolina Auctioneer Licensing Board, South Carolina Auctioneer Commission, and the National Auctioneer Association. Coursework includes rules and regulations, the chant, accounting, livestock, auto auctions, advertising, appraisals, operating an auction facility, ringwork and more. Registration is now open for the next class which begins August 22 at SCC’s Crutchfield Education Center in Locust.
