Weapons on Campus Property

Firearms and/or weapons are not allowed on any SCC campus or designated site for SCC education.

Firearms and/or weapons of any type may not be in any vehicle, parking lot, bookbag, or any personal belonging of a person on the SCC campus.

The exception to this is when a person, under North Carolina state law, possesses a valid permit to carry a concealed weapon. These permitees are allowed to have a firearm in a locked vehicle while on campus. Display of said firearm is not permitted on SCC property.

To bring a firearm or weapon onto campus is a violation of North Carolina law and the College code of conduct. These restrictions do not apply to on-duty law enforcement personnel or any sworn officer attending training.
