Stanly Community College (SCC) will offer a Practical Welding course, designed to equip individuals with essential entry-level trade knowledge and technical skills in welding.

The course runs from ​March 4 through May 1, totaling 56 hours of hands-on training. Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM on the Albemarle campus, with exceptions on April 17 and April 22. The cost for the course is $280.50.

The Practical Welding course provides students with fundamental theory, practical application, and a working knowledge of welding processes, preparing them for entry-level positions in metalworking, welding, and fabrication industries. These fields offer consistent employment and advancement opportunities for individuals with technical training and welding skills. SCC’s welding program ensures students gain valuable hands-on experience in a supportive learning environment, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking to begin a career in welding or enhance their current skill set.
