Activity Director
Description:
This course provides the North Carolina Division of Facility Services-required training for activity directors in healthcare-related settings. Coursework includes synchronous online instruction that includes audience-specific activity planning, documentation, and assessment. Course completers qualify for employment as an activity professional in a skilled nursing facility or adult care home.
Additional Information:
- Textbook is required and is available in the SCC Albemarle Campus Bookstore during semesters when this course is offered.
- Course includes one face-to-face class meeting at the SCC Crutchfield Education Center in Locust, NC. All remaining class meetings are held online via the Canvas learning management system on Mondays and Thursdays from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
Requirements:
- US high school diploma (or equivalent)
- Driver’s license or state ID
