Description:
This hybrid course is a blend of face-to-face and online lessons and activities. The class will meet in person on Mondays from 10am to 2pm at the Crutchfield Education Center. The remaining instructional hours are delivered online with lessons and activities with weekly due dates. The class is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment and optional certifications in Medical Billing and Coding for physician's offices, hospitals, and insurance companies.
Requirements:
- US high school diploma (or equivalent)
- Driver’s license or state ID
Total hours: 360
Additional Information:
- Due at registration $190.50.
- Textbooks and 2024 coding manuals (approximately $200) are required.
- Coding manuals are optional.
- This course may qualify for the Short-Term Workforce Development Scholarship and/or other Continuing Education scholarships, as funds are available.
2025 Schedule:
The next course starts April 7, 2025.
The class will meet in person at the Crutchfield Education Center (Locust, NC) on Mondays from 10am to 2pm. The rest of the instructional activities will be delivered online in an asynchronous manner – students will have weekly deadlines but will complete activities and assignments at their convenience throughout the week.
