Medical Billing and Coding

Description:

This hybrid course is a blend of face-to-face and online lessons and activities. The class will meet in person on Mondays from 10am to 2pm at the Crutchfield Education Center.  The remaining instructional hours are delivered online with lessons and activities with weekly due dates. The class is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment and optional certifications in Medical Billing and Coding for physician's offices, hospitals, and insurance companies.

Requirements:

• US high school diploma (or equivalent)
• Driver’s license or state ID

Total hours: 360

Additional Information:

• Due at registration $190.50.
• Textbooks and current coding manuals (approximately $800) are required.
• This course may qualify for the Short-Term Workforce Development Scholarship and/or other Continuing Education scholarships, as funds are available.
