Business Office Refund and Appeal Rule

Requests for tuition and fees refunds or account adjustments should be made to the Stanly Community College Business Office. Students have the right to appeal any decisions pertaining to this type of refund or adjustment to the Dean of Business Services. The appeal must be made in writing within 3 months of the initial debt notification from the Business Office. The notification of debt will be sent via US mail to the address on file for the student. The Financial Appeal Review Committee will make a determination for each appeal within 5 business days after receipt of the written appeal. Students will be notified of the decision via US mail to the address on file for the student. The committee decision will be final.
**There are no appeal options regarding money owed as a result of the Return of Funds calculation for financial aid disbursements. Please contact the Financial Aid office with any questions about the Return of Funds calculation.
